The Auburn Indian Music Ensemble will perform at the Jule Collins Smith Museum on April 14 for the lunch music series. They just posted this video to their Facebook page of them playing at the Birmingham Museum of Art.

I write about musical events--mainly the ones I would like to hear--in the area around the Auburn-Opelika community where I live in Alabama. I am a musician and coordinate A Little Lunch Music, a weekly series at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art during spring and fall.

Next Thursday, April 7, my chamber group, The Woodfield Trio, will perform at the Jule Collins Smith Museum from 12-1 for the museum's A Little Lunch Music series. Previously scheduled four-hand pianists Bill Summerville and Helene Burkart had to cancel. I'm hopeful that they will be able to reschedule. Click here for the updated full schedule.

Pictures of Nancy Vinson and Laurelie Gheesling at the Museum
I've just posted some new pictures of the performance today at the museum. Nancy Vinson and Laurelie Gheesling played beautifully. It was great seeing and talking to Virginia Transue of the Auburn Chamber Music Society, who reminded me that the Kandinsky String Trio will be performing at Goodwin Hall on March 31 at 7:30. Click here for the event link on AU's music calendar.
